About Me

Hey Girl! I wanted to take a moment to properly introduce myself, tell you more me and about why Lisa Live Well exists.

The Personal. My name is Lisa Necole Nwachukwu. As you can tell by the name, I am half American Black and Half Nigerian. With my American Black Girl Magic, I am also hella southern. I was born in Mobile Alabama and raised solely in Marietta, GA. And I now live in Atlanta, GA. So when you see or hear me say “Y’all” it’s intentional and meant with all the love that my maternal ancestors passed down. I am 30 something and recently married to a beautiful and loving man. I have no kids except my 10-year-old mutt, Ms. Annabelle Lee.

The Professional. I am a career girl. I love my work as a marketer and have been doing it for nearly 10 years. Marketing  (like writing) is a passion of mine. To me, it’s the perfect mix of the creative and the analytical plus it’s a skill that plugs into whatever you want to do in life.

Why did I build this platform? Well, like I said I am a career girl and I have been navigating the corporate world over 10 years at this point. Marketing is one of those professions where you have to be constantly interacting with people and winning them over. It’s the only way your ideas get heard and your work gets respected. Because it’s so collaborative, understanding the environment is key to your success.

After years of being laser-focused on managing the people around me to get ahead, the knowledge I have gained from my experience has come to be what I most enjoy passing on to others. This blog primarily is about the day-to-day wins and lessons learned of one career minded black girl to other career minded black girls.

And because we live full lives and play as hard as we work, I also wanted to share some experiences of black womanhood, things I found inspirational and some personal things that are happening in my life. In short, this is my guide for Glowing up & Showing out in all the spaces we occupy.
